Week 1 Fantasy RB Rankings

(1) Adrian Peterson (MIN) @ Tennessee:

The man, the myth, the legend. Adrian Peterson is back for yet another season of fantasy terror, and he tops my list in Week One. He draws a beautiful matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Sure, with Teddy Bridgewater going down Peterson will draw more attention, but he’s shown time and time again that he can still dominate with eight men in the box against him. Start him with full confidence and reap the benefits.

Confidence to finish top-5 in RBs in Week 1: 10/10

(2) Todd Gurley (LA) @ San Francisco:

Yes, it still is weird to write LA rather than STL, in case you were wondering. Gurley will be an absolute monster this season and I very nearly put him at the No. 1 spot for Week One. He draws a great matchup against the lowly San Francisco 49ers in the first game of the season, but I am unsure if he will top all RBs this week with Case Keenum starting at quarterback for the Rams. There will be multiple defenders focused on stopping the run, and Gurley could struggle from time-to-time.

Confidence to finish top-5 in RBs in Week 1: 9.5/10

(3) DeAngelo Williams (PIT) @ Washington:

Williams will headline the Steelers backfield the first three weeks of 2016, and I for one am all-aboard the Williams bandwagon. I have drafted the stud running back in multiple leagues, whether or not I drafted Le’Veon Bell in the early going. Williams finished as the No.  6 running back last year in PPR leagues, and that is with Bell playing six weeks. The early-season starter is a must-start in all formats and you will reap the benefits in this matchup against Washington.
